John has been a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. This past January he saved my life. I was in a horrific accident (struck by a motor vehicle when crossing the street. If not for his unselfish act of arriving on the scene and assisting (bring me back) and arranging for me to be airlifted to Nassau University Medical Center, I know that I would not be here today. John is a humble man but it is the least I can do to nominate him.
Another point this past Friday he went into action when his landlords garage caught fire. He went in an attempted to knocked it down and then go to the firehouse to drive the fire truck. As you can see he takes risks. So this would be a great honor.

Good Samaritan Winner Millie D'Agastino (with B103's Keith Allen on right.)
She is my Mom and is a colorectalskin, uteran, thyroid cancer survivor since the age of 39. Her cancer has come back at age 50, 62, and over the last few years she has continued to battle little inconveniences of "thank God" having additional cancers removed successfully. Even though she has been dealing with this on and off over the last 25 years, she has always found the time to volunteer her time unselfishly to her community through her community outreach - meals on wheels - fund raisers. She has been delivering meals religiously every week for as long as I can remember and has even befriended some of her meal recipients and visits them on her own or invites them to social outings. Some have become our family. She is also a founding and active board member for the Brian McGee Scholarship program which she actively fund raises for and is involved in choosing the recipient. My Mom has always been the Brownie and Girl Scout Leader, Religion Teacher and now a Grandmother to 8 Grandchildren whom she watches and helps out with. She does this all unselfishly and always without pay. She is constantly giving of her time, energy, and love! This honor would mean a great deal to her!!!!Thank you for considering my Mom, Millie D'Agostino.
